Avo Kit

Everything you need for a bowl of guacamole or a plate of avocado toast, in one order. No hunting down four different things, no buying more coriander than you will ever use.

Inside the kit:

• Imported Hass Avocado, 1 pc
• Cherry Tomatoes, 200g
• Italian Lemon, 1 pc
• Coriander, 100g

The Hass avocado is the variety worth paying attention to. It has a thicker pebbled skin that darkens as it ripens, and the flesh mashes into something creamy rather than watery. The cherry tomatoes go in halved so they hold their shape instead of disappearing. The lemon is there for more than flavour, since the juice is what keeps mashed avocado green instead of turning it brown while you are still eating.

Makes roughly four servings. Add salt and green chilli from your own kitchen and you are done in five minutes.

Storage: Keep the avocado out at room temperature until it gives slightly when pressed near the stem, then refrigerate to hold it there. Tomatoes and lemon keep in the fridge. Stand the coriander in a glass of water and it will last several days longer than it will in a bag.
